The Tigers are on fire right now, and showed who is boss in the AL Central by sweeping the Royals, running their record to 5 – 0 against KC  for 2014 in the process. On Saturday, the new revamped offense notched their 11th total.

This should turn out to be quite fun.  A lot of gambling establishments have this sort of deal, and it will be fun to see the results.

What Runs Survivor is, a MLB team scoring 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10 or (10+) in different games throughout the course of the season.

Once a club has one of these run totals once, you cross it off and keep going until they complete the 11 different variations.  We are going to keep tracking this category – until all 30 MLB clubs are finished this season!

Detroit has now won 5 games straight, and on Saturday night, they completed their 11th variation.  They beat Seattle by 3 games to the clip, even though the Mariners finally completed all 11 – finishing in 10th, even though they were the 1st club to 10.

The Mariners had 10 different run totals in their 1st 12 games, but then took 16 more to complete the trek to their 11th – by scoring a 9 run game on Saturday vs the Astros. The M’s have reeled off 5 wins in their last 6 games, to pull within 1 game of .500 – at 14 – 15.  The Mariners won 2 in a row versus New York and then won 2 out of three versus the Astros.

The Angels might have lost 2 out of 3 to their division rivals Rangers yesterday, but they scored 3 runs to effectively keep their streak of scoring runs in every single contest thus far in the 2014 season. They are fighting with the Colorado Rockies to see who can serve up MLB Bragging Rights for this as the only teams left. The Angels are the only AL team to yet to be blanked. Los Angeles begins today at 15 – 15, 3 games back of the Oakland A’s in the AL West.

The Rockies not only saw their 3B Nolan Arenado run his hitting streak up to 24 games last night, but they scored 1 run in the Bottom of the 9th to extend their streak of not being blanked for the 2014 campaign so far. They are the last NL team to score zero runs in 2014.
